Which course or class?
I was a university lecturer for tech courses and used a MacBook all the time. Only game dev required a Windows machine.

@D-4got10-01 I grew up with Windows for gaming and coding until I had my first job and was introduced to mobile dev.

Then I slowly changed my preference and now I'm using mac for work and coding, and Windows for gaming.
Linux for testing and compat stuff, as you do.
