If you have an admin@domain email address, you might be able to grab a copy of the domain password to transfer?
-
Never needed to deal with a PIN for this previously..? But some places probably have different requirements
-
What, your friend would have to initiate the domain transfer from his customer account with his reseller or wherever he ordered the domain.
It would be a big security hole for hostile takeover if they allowed another hoster to call in and say "hey now I'm hosting the domain, guys".
And ICANN blocks domain transfer for 60 days after the last transfer or initial registration. That's not possible to do even with customer account.
Or do I miss somethig in the picture? -
@Fast-Nop all I know is that the guys on call (GoDaddy) made it very clear that the domain is eligible for transfer without any charge

That concludes, a friend called in a favor to host a WordPress blog with our hosting and domain from re-seller
and fuck that re-seller with cactus in the ass, for being a hack and saying it is not possible to transfer the domain to my hosting account.
