Me: Sure, let me see...
At this time I noticed that the drive was leaking something and smells funny also...
Me: Did you dropped it into water or something liquid?
User: Ehmm. Yes! Washed it with bleach!
Me: But why?
User : Oh! because of viruses.

There is a beauty center a walking distance from home, and my mom became friend of a lady who does her nails, hair and things like that. This lady barely had contact with technology throughout her life, and one day she brought me her son's laptop to get fixed (she knew my father and I were IT guys), and she said: "My son told me it has a virus, can you fix it? I told him not to walk around with the laptop unprotected, outside its bag. Oh my god, he took it to so many places that we can't be sure where nor when it got infected'.

She thought computers could be infected due to contact with contaminated air. It was hard not to laugh in front of her haha 😂😂

Hey. I usually pop mine in the over to burn off all the bacteria and viruses.

When at 5th grande (1997) our teacher took us to the computer lab. Before entering she told us "please clean your shoes and wash your hands before entering to avoid infecting the lab with viruses". At first glance we took her words seriously but once we sat in front of the computers we realized how fucking dumb she was being 😂😂😂
