Devs are divided on gitlab blunder, some appreciate their honesty and transparency while other are either cursing them or grateful that they didn't use it. But think like this :

You own a MacBook and you love it like your baby, if someone drops it, there is good probability it won't break but it will sure give you a fucking heart attack. You won't ever let that person touch your MacBook.

Gitlab just did that. They scared the hell out of the developers.
I hope everyone learns from this and it doesn't happen to anyone in future.

Always keep pushing your boundaries.
Don't stay too long on anyone thing
i.e. Keep learning new stuff once you are confident about the old stuff.
Don't worry about the language, pick up one and get started.

Little Hack
It annoys me whenever I encounter a website like quora which hides the real content with a overlay and a pop up to sign in. Little do they know I just delete the overlay element from the Dom 😁😁.
Who else does this?

Some times I open the production site and then try to make edits locally to fix a bug, only to realize that I was so stupid.
