Designers that continually use non-webfonts, KNOWINGLY, and then get pissy when the site doesn't look EXACTLY like the concept.

make a webfont out of the font's ttf or otf files?

@liammartens licensing - have to pay for it. It's the same font every time, and the designer gets the same answer every time...

@pyrotazz oh, then I get it :P then it's designers fault!

Designers get access to TypeKit with Adobe CC, which gives them all those licensed webfonts iirc. Others are a small purchase (most of the time).

It's not their fault you're too cheap to buy a font 😜

    PS: There's no such thing as a non-webfont 😜😜

@pixeltherapy oh, yeah, $400/yr PER SITE... Clients love paying that 😜
The designer knows that the specific font is licensed etc. Has been told for every concept done all year... Yet, continues to use it.

@pixeltherapy oh, and though I am aware of TypeKit, and have used it myself in some personal projects, this isn't a TypeKit font 🙃

@pyrotazz yes, well in that case slap the designer! If someone came to me with a design using Proxima Nova I would be pissed too.

    Hey devrant community!

I'm working in a wen dev internship and earn very very little there. I can't live like this for much longer, since i have to pay my studies. I'm experienced with ionic and love to develop apps. I have a little side project which will eventually generate somthing in the future, but my studies begin in a month. What would you reccomend me to find people who would like to pay me for my skills. Preferably offline and not as online freelancer. I need not much, i just want to pay my bills. Many thanks :)
