    Nothin wrong in writing on paper. Write smaller modules and then type them in. Depends though. I presently work mostly implementing algorithm prototypes. I find it was not effective to write the code on paper, make sure I'm confident, then just type it in and check. Reduces plenty of errors, most importantly the logical ones.

    I honesty use notepad++ and prefer it to PyCharm...
