If i was paid in eggs and each egg was worth about a € I'd get around 1900 eggs after taxes. But I'm also in the job for only 2 years now
-
People do know where I work and who I am. So no its not anonymous.
Lets say Im earning more than the average dev in the netherlands who is only working for 2 years.
I even earn more than a colleague who is working at this company for four years and has worked before that as well. -
Before taxes: $9700. After taxes with 26 pay periods: $5600.
And they say I can’t complain about taxes? I don’t think I’ll even get a refund dude. -
€2500 before taxes, after taxes €2080. That after a year of fully working as a dev.

@growling @iKameo @sanse1992 hold on help me understand. employees have a salary of e.g. $3000. their tax is e.g. $1000. so the actual profit employees earn is $2000. does this mean the "official salary" in public by the company that pays you says "you will be paid $3000/month" or "you will be paid $2000/month"? do you guys pay that $1000 tax or does the company do it for you? because if company pays it, what is the point of knowing the original payment before tax?
-
@iKameo what the fuck!!!!! that is a legalized theft!!! how do people not complain about this? what the fuck is this?
-
@iKameo not everywhere, here the company pays full tax and insurance so you get what you earn
-
I live in a poor country. Converted to US dollars, it's around $2.5 per hour. 8 hours a day, 5 times a week.

Wack61916ySo, before I went to university, after an apprentiship of 3 years, I made 4'500.- CHF, in the last job before university I had 6'500.- CHF (8 years working and two junior devs working with me) however, you'll need to consider, that housing will be about 1'000 a month, transportation about 300.- a month, health insurance as well, foor another 300.- taxes will be +/- one months salary, so all in all, it's not "just" your salary but also your cost of living that determin what you have at the end of the month...
So if you're looking for a competitive salary, ask your coworkers, coleagues and so on! -
@nanhb somewhere in Silicon Valley
You know what also sucks? 1 br apartment $2300-$3200. Like I studied all these years to fucking get fucked. Every income level suffers! -
@iKameo The Netherlands but what you pay for income tax and pension all depends on how much you earn and in which scale you belong in
-
Just started my apprenticeship. If i would be paid in eggs just like @WhAtEvErYoUmEaN i'd get ~577 of them after taxes.
I'm very glad my employer doesn't pay me in eggs though.
if you work at some company, how much do you earn per month?
note: you are anonymous; no one knows who you are; no one knows what company you work for - so feel free to be honest ;)
