@filthyranter Not everyone needs to go full on Edward Snowden when picking out software and apps to use.

It's all about what's best for the user.

Man it would be awesome if there were similar plans in my country, I very rarely call people.

@Stuxnet thank you for that. I have been saying similar things for years now. I respect and admire the effort for privacy. But even as anonymous users data can still be collected and count towards the very basics of : anonymous user statistics.

    No one is safe! :P

@AleCx04 There's a bit of mental superiority that radiates from some of these privacy nuts.

Like I constantly see people judging others for using a smart speaker. Why should I give a flying shit what Jim Bob down the street uses? It's not harming me at all.

It's getting old and a bit annoying these days. But to each their own, I suppose.

@Stuxnet exactly. Its kinda like the same thing with vegans, crossfiters and freemasons and arch users

How do we know they use or belong to a group? Don't worry...they will fucking tell you

    What about a voip?
a couple more bucks to spend, but then you can make phone calls using only internet connection (wifi also)

@mngr tried, most plans include it (i think even my current one), but it was pretty unreliable cause my mother travels to rural areas quite often, but telegram is just fucking magic, it loads messages even with the lowest speed

@Stuxnet @AleCx04 honestly i care about my privacy, even build my own "smart home" stuff, but im not gonna, say, ditch youtube because its more useful than concerning

@filthyranter I'll keep it simple: as long as nobody says it's privacy or security friendly, it's all good ;)

@ganjaman I do not understan how telegram (that uses internet connection) is good, and voip is not 😅

@mngr you dont send messages over voip do you
  • 0
@ganjaman uuuuuuuh, I was thinking about voice calls only

    @ganjaman still, I don't see why they shouldn' t 😅
a brief search shows some voip provider with text messages
