(internships included as I'm on my first real job)

Best: my current job.

Worst: using Google services at an internship instead of quitting (yes, this is a big deal for me). People call me crazy when they hear that but I've got my fucking ethics/morals/values.

For the record, if I'd have to choose between having an income/using Google services or starving, I'd go for the income part anyways, I don't have a deathwish.

@linuxxx I also consider to cut off Google as much as I can, big brother is one thing, but China goverment is another for me...

And if you have the choice of typing lyrics from memory or using google to find them?
  • 1
@Codex404 I literally typed them from memory right in front of you (after using google, yes).

But I'm talking about having and using a Google account here.

@linuxxx I know, its just fun to tease you xD

@irene did you made a new account?
  • 0
@jakobev Why are you asking when that's very obvious?
  • 0
@irene I was waiting for that one

Have you read the Bloomberg article about Supermicro hacking scandal?

With the way things are, nothing can be truly safe or private anymore whether google or non-google :/

@cursee Yup. Goddamn, hardware motherfucking backdoors in servers from all big us companies...
  • 1
@cursee And the last part you said is not true; if content is end to end encrypted on the client devices, the servers can't read shit.
  • 1
@irene True, but let's focus on the hardware server backdoors here.
  • 1
@irene True, nothing says that smart watches can't have them either but that's completely irrelevant for the discussion right now.

@linuxxx @irene both of you are right. It's a very blur line which companies is reliable, which hardware is reliable.

I just hope no one want to bother hacking consumers hardwares like our phones and watches and PCs. That's the only thing we can wish :3
