Watch Upgrade! Awesome movie about AI and privacy.

Even the single line of code is real!

    Is it paid movie?

Kind of reminds me of black mirror bullshit

One thing I dont understand is how did they freakin fit a sentient ai into an 16 pin chip??

    @EvilArcher It grew synapses 😄😄

@Mitiko still, it would be too hot to touch and how is it powered? Human body does not provide a 5v line 😂

@EvilArcher IT HAS AI. It'll figure it out on it's own 😄
  • 1
@Mitiko how will it figure out without a stable power source??
  • 1
@EvilArcher It has low power consuming thinking capabilities, that are using brain waves as a source and electrical induction?
  • 1
@Mitiko hmm, I dont think so. Also another problem is how do you connect it to the spine with only 14 usable pins? (2 used for power)

@EvilArcher It grows synapses, that's how it connects, I guess the other 16 pins are for main functionality - reset, gnd, vcc, rx, tx, a couple more for the antenna. Or one pin for each sense. IDK, but when they shut him down, they were clearly running Linux: `sudo shutdown now`

Initially, the doctors could have given it power even if wirelessly. If they made it at least as efficient as the brain, and a little more (to give the muscles stronger signals, by limiting other unnecessary power consumers, for example what makes you blink is useless in a fight) also they didn't have to worry about everything, the brain, calculated a lot of stuff, the chip was mostly a bridge. That's why most fight moves are somewhat robotic.

@Mitiko yeah, but still I would expect the chip to be a little bigger (maybe arm size on rpi3+). Also I would expect it to have at least few hundred connections. When the chip has to bridge 2 parts of the body, then maybe thousands of connections. But whatever. Its hollywood magic. Small evil ai chip to destroy humanity.

@EvilArcher It could be real. The story takes place in the future anyway.

@Mitiko yeah, but still the biggest thing bugging me are the connectors and how do you connect organic matetial to the pins of the chip? And the second thing, how can it run his whole company and be boss of everyone when he is showing him the chip at the start of the movie?? It clearly is disconnected and dont you dare tell me that it is doing it wirelessly

@EvilArcher How did the CEO send the shutdown signal? That's right wirelessly 😄

About human flesh, a better movie would be "The Beyond" 2017; They import a brain into an artificial body, quite the opposite. I just recently watched it.

@Mitiko yeah, but it was "powered" by the body
