Hahaha, that's nothing compared to what had happened in my company a few years ago. We had a developer who filed a resignation a month before his last deployment. So what happened was his deployment is on Dec 9 and his last day in job was Dec 10. After he deployed the app, it suddenly stop working and we called him very early to go to office immediately. And since we knew there was something wrong, he immediate file for a sick leave. Then after the next day, we can no longer contact him because he's officially resigned.

And our company has no choice but to pay the client $300,000 for failed deployment fee.

Lol. I left my job yesterday (Friday) after three deployments to prod.

@cleancoder if it wasn’t the revenge thing, I’d have considered paying him 50k or even 100k for a same-day fix.

Even with that said, CONSIDER INVESTING IN FUCKING SPECS. Bugs are delight to fix if the app is clean and concise. But you decided to invest in paying fees instead, and your app was a mess indeed if you couldn’t even manage to roll his changes back. Okay then.

There are software architects around who’ll make you a great spec for a lot less money 🤫

    Think about it! 🤔
