So most devs here are probably using Duckduckgo over Google. But what about Ecosia? Are there any fellow users here?

I haven't heard of it.
What are its features and selling points?

@Root I don't know about the features Ecosia offers, but I like how they use the ad revenue.

I've seen it before, I'm just wondering if they use any other engines than bing for their search results...

I doubt that most devs here use ddg over google. Its the minority that speaks up the loudest but in the end its a tiny part. (not judging here, use what gets the job done)

I'm using DDG on my computer and Ecosia on my phone. I just think DDG is better for dev/it related things, but I still want to plant trees ^^

I use DDG or Google when DDG fails to find what I’m looking for.

Ecosia seems to have the right idea, but they do admit to a 7 day retention period before anonymizing it, which for the privacy concerned is a giant window of opportunity to be able to track user behaviour.
