What's up with all of these unstable updates at the same time from Google and Microsoft?

First Microsoft releases an update that deletes My Documents

Then chrome on windows gets updated with a "eat your disk in addition to ram usage" that freezes my PC.

Like whatever happened to testing before releasing, least some minimal testing...

Then again, it's a fucking Microsoft product... -.-

Ya I wonder what's up these days, too many fuckups :\

Not to forget that latest fuckup from Windows 10 where sometimes zipping files using built-in zipping feature gets those files deleted (though still available in the zip file)

Also unzipping in the same place gets silent overwrite

@gitpush based on what I've seen, I think this is Microsoft's way of "optimizing search". Which reads to me more like "we want to know what files you have at any time anywhere". Which honestly, if they gonna spy on me, least do it in a way that won't inconvenience me, I do my private work on a different Linux computer anyway.

Lol, we should start a hashtag #MSFTStopBeingBadAtSpying

It's a result of current software project management philosophy where focus is on output rather than outcomes, on release cadence rather than quality (actual quality, not test coverage). It's concepts like MVP rather than the ol' 80/20 rule of thumb that, and processes like Scrum rather than common sense (not the waterfall strawman). Every freaking software manager/PO/scrummaster/etc. is laser focused on their burn down charts rather than what they are actually sending to customers, when , and why. It's no wonder that when you act like lemmings, eventually you run off the edge.

    Maybe they started embracing post-meritocracy?

@gitoutofhere lol I like that tag 😂@Jilano it started when they switched from yearly to every x months release cycle

They suck at that not sure why they are acting like this, Apple ships once a year and that's it, windows has fall update, spring update, and now shit update ....
