@LucaScorpion I actually ran across code that used a setting of 3 once. It took a few tries before it looked "unweird" in my editor. Using tabs=3 and making the code unreadable for non matching editor settings is just plain evil.
Regarding the never ending tabs vs spaces debate; who on earth over at GitHub thought 8 spaces was a good default value for tabs in code?
