Same here but here's the catch, we are overthinking that we are not good. Fact is that we can never be good. Let's stop overthinking because it can cause depression and anxiety. You can also lose interest in your work and you might end up getting fired.
So please relax. -
Rename4816yI hate this feeling, but you know what you can use it to your advantage and learn new stuff :)

jareish1006yContribute to an open source project. Pick one by random. It could be as simple as translating. Look at the issues, sometimes the code is there but no PR has been made.
Other tip is to hold a tech presentation for your team/company.
Or pick 1 goal every three months you want to achieve. And stick to it.
Not feeling you’re good enough is probally caused by not having a measurable progress. By setting goals and sticking to it, and reflecting back to them, you start thinking ‘Ive made it far!’
Good is also relative, even in the same programming language. Ive been programming JS for decades, but dont ask me about animation or 3d and creating your own shaders :p but then again, its not my interest and I would never search for a job in that area. Its ok not to know all, especially in a world that has a new framework every 10seconds -
cursee171596yDo you have any other profession in mind that you are confident to be good at?
If no, why bother 🤷♂️
If yes, yeah you should reconsider your career choices. -
@YuganshT79 im live in the same hell as @crash 😫
Always think that I'm not good enough to be a developer 😅 -
speak with my boss about anything computer related, makes you feel like the third coming of (code) jesus (or deity of your choice)

gthathol956yDo job interviews (as in, you interview other developers). Once you see the competition you'll feel a LOT better about yourself.

ardinent1146yI agree witht @gthathol . There are a few gem super coders out there. The rest are doing great work and making a good career by being DISCIPLINED developers.
If you had a shitty day, remember to take more breaks tomorrow, favor abstraction over lengthy flows and keep reading stories, articles and rants about your chosen language/principle.
