Google.

A company that I looked up to when I was younger, believing that they were the champions of free speech/anti-censorship, is perhaps the biggest entity out there that’s responsible for quashing down any parties that do not kowtow to approved political talking points.

    This. They also did some other nasty censorship in their favour over here.

    I'd say FB is worse than them

    This video is not available for your computer.

    Still better news then government powered TV from 89.

    I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, but have you guys seen the little cards they put under a lot of videos now? Stuff like pointing out RT is partly funded by the Russian government or providing a link to Wikipedia when a video even mentions climate change. Sure, it could be harmless and informative, but it feels like they're trying to warn you about anyone or anything that doesnt align with their ideal narrative.

    @tokumei they’re preparing for the censorship act in EU :)

    @Root You and me both.

    Can't imagine 2020's gonna be better.

    At least I'll be able to troll people on campus lol

    It's even worse that people don't fucking care. That's what makes me really mad.

    Don't forget Sergey Brin came from a household burdened by the Iron curtain in the USSR and pledged to never go down the root of Soviet censorship. Then when China told them to censor and rat out people or say goodbye to the Chinese market, out came Google China that actually hurt (and most likely killed) Chinese dissidents. They didn't even defeat Baidu, Shenma and the other Chinese search engines in terms of popularity, for a final pathetic blow.

    @Stuxnet but I guess no one ever looked up to fb as some of us did to Google
