I read a lot about people that think that millennial are the most entitled and demanding group of people. The more i work in technical support, or any Client based job, i know how it's an half truth.

Truth is Older people usually are WAY worse. Can't fucking make a decision by themselves, i always have to CHOOSE their fucking language. How can you so stupid, you can't figure out which language you want you computer in... You don't know which language you talk dumb fuck? (Not talking about keyboard layout here, you can imagine it's even worse! But at least i know why somebody that has no technical knowledge can be confused)

I have to take them hand by hand because they can't figure out how to read... Younger people usually just say: Okay i'll try that! Thanks! And just hang up, no fucking dicking around on things i don't know what they are doing or why they are asking. They are rarely the fuckers that want to talk to a supervisor to get free repairs and returns. Entitlement at it's best...

Stupidity and entitlement have no age. Period.

    I feel ya. My opinion is probably biased af, but at my old workplace the worst customers were always old people. Sometimes it almost feels like they don't want you to be able to do your job and insist on making it harder for you 🙄 hope you aren't having too many of those and that the rest of your work day goes well.

    @Elyz Like in any job, bad customer are usually the minority. I like to call them the "Louder minority". Of course i rant a lot, but it's my unhealthy way of let out my anger on stupid things.

    I often rant more about microsoft that client to be fair.

    Fact 1: Older people are expected to have much less exposure to technology as this whole thing in front of you only exploded for the masses late 90s.

    Fact 2: You're working, meaning you're getting paid to do a job... and yes, is the fucking asshole on the other side the one calling the shots so later you can go buy toilet paper and pay netflix. Welcome to the world kid.

    No fact as been given by you. They are opinions. Nothing is showing direct evidence of anything you said. I would advice you to retake science class so you can know what a fact is.

    Fact 1: No. There is more older people in my country than younger so by statistics i get as much young people as older people based on their relative number. So it cannot be disprouve nor confirmed which is not a fact only an opinion.

    Fact 2: I can get other jobs if i want to, and employers have hard time in my country because we simply don't have enough workforce. Statically company here are struggling to get employees. So i can do whatever to pay my bills almost. I just feel like this platform was built in the idea of ranting, so i do use it. Have a problem with that? I don't care ! :) thank you have a nice day

    @cobolplz Also, i don't talk only with technology, i've done several jobs in my life with customer service and i can say to you that it include any domain.

    Out of curiosity, how old are you ?

    And how long have you been working fulltime?

    @mrmr I'm 29, about 10 years in total if i count all my different jobs of full time. Maybe 8 or something, i don't really count and i really do think it does not matter. Truth will still be true regardless of my age/experience.
