Ahh... So Black Friday looks like it's gonna be black for me.

Sale started today but turns out they misprinted the prices and I guess after some more in depth thinking plus the amount of tax id have to pay... Doesn't feel worth it.

Will just wait till my current laptop craps out. Probably can squeeze out a few more years.

Are you seriously considering an old piece of shit laptop for years? Are you even a software engineer in the industry?

@growling quad-core i7 with SSD and 8GB RAM isn't good enough for a Dev? It just can't do Bitcoin mining, ML, video editing dinner those require a dedicated GPU.

Just so you know my profile sure and all those projects were written on this laptop.

@irene what for? What are you coding? I can only think the use cases are running VMs or video editing?

Oh and I don't use Gradle much or Android Studio.

Yes maybe. Honestly right now I'm not sure what to do with all the power. I don't play games in 4K 60fps...

Maybe ML but I haven't thought of any project yet.

But yes I do see your point, if I were to join a real open source project which I've never done before.
