@Lensflare yes. But I had to watch a whole documentary from flat earthers to learn that. It's actually a must watch. It's actually quite mind blowing and the flat earthers do have their arguments. Until I watched that, i had no reason to be so confident that the earth is round.

Well, that doesn’t apply to me. :)

I regularly watch debunking of all kinds of stupid ideas for entertainment.
And I can think of at least 4 proofs against flat earth from the top of my head.

@Lensflare I want to hear them all four. The airplane is false, you don't fly high enough for that. Same for a ship getting out of your sight. All those things don't work. So, four please :)

1. a flat disc cant keep its shape under gravity. It’s physically impossible. It would naturally collapse into a spheroid.

2. the starts that we see in the sky are rotating exactly like they would if the earth was rotating. This doesn’t directly prove the shape but flat earthers reject the rotation of the earth.

3. we don’t see infinitely far away objects.
Far away objects appear lower and then disappear under the horizon, which explains the curvature.

4. The apparent motion of the sun observed from earth is perfectly explained by the earth rotating + revolving around the sun. And it doesn’t make any sense from a flat earth.

Obviously those are just short summaries.

@Lensflare sure, but did you knew those arguments before the flat earthers subject? If so, you're the only ever. That you even have four, i would say you gpt'd some.

Because, of course the earth is round, but it's not common to have 4 examples laying around.

Edit: the third one is a common bullshit myth. YOur eyes can't watch that far. But the flatearthers tried with a laser, you should not be able to shine that far with a laser with the eart curving.

Same for the airplane, you can't see from an airplane that earth is round.

Especially you should watch the docu of the flat earthers.
