I have saved my sister's contact number with the nickname. Few days back I've noticed that her surname is automatically added to the nickname. Today I've noticed that her nickname is replaced with her real name in my Android mobile.

When I checked my contact list I noticed that there are 2 contacts, one with nickname, another with her real name.

Is this a new trick Google playing?

    Thats probably the Facebook app doing a contact sync and well, now you know why we dont like facebook.

    otherwise... yea its a google thing.

    @C0D4 I don't have any social app (excluding devaRant) on my mobile. So either jio(reliance) or Google are suspected.

    It might be a Truecaller thing if you have that.

    It keeps happening with me too. I just assume that the one is saved in my phone and another is either in sim or saved in Google contacts

    @screams most of the phone I am seeing today, already have a feature like truecaller. U can see while receiving the call from unsaved number. That may be one thing.

    @shiv7071007 nah I don't have the same issue, but another one
    Vodafone doesn't connect to internet but jio does, don't know why and I haven't really bothered looking it up. was just curious as to why that would happen.
