Facts are true by definition. If a fact was wrong, we wouldn’t call it fact.
You never know what knowledge is useful and what is useless.
Some day seemingly useless knowledge can become useful.
And seemingly useful knowledge can turn out completely useless. -

Forgetting things and selectively deleting specific knowledge at will are two completely different things.
Am I talking to an alien right now?
wisdom is applied knowledge
which means useless facts are not wise. they're not helpful. they're also probably wrong. does your life get better by them? it's like hoarding. you have all this junk but you cannot can't do nothing
and this includes helping loved ones
and we as a society just uphold this as some virtue of the intellectual class. and then wonder why everybody feels alone, social media explodes, everybody is disjointed and fighting from their echo chambers, and nothing works, everybody cons each other as if they're starving animals... it's what we valued
