I work remotely and have to attend a 'scrum' call everyday which I fucking hate. It gives me anxiety as I already dont like extensive phone calls.

    @jespersh... I know people who migrated to another country to work. If you dont like calling you just shouldnt work remote.. Its like not liking english and having programming as job...

    @Codex404 there are other ways like using a some project management tool where everyone enter what they are working on. Instead of a useless call to just say what you did the previous day.

    Mine is 30 minutes, but the conference software is shit tho.

    At least you can space out on the phone, the people in the room have no escape.

    @valium123 ive had one project where we did not have those standups and one where we did. I couldnt do it without standup. They are not only there to know what everyone is doing but also to help people who dont like asking questions when they are stuck.

    @Codex404 can't people as questions as they come up with questions? Why go through all the useless drudgery? Plus some project management software can track what people are doing.

    @valium123 no some people find it difficult to ask questions or dont even notice they take so much time on a certain issue.
