Got my new pc up and running, asrock x370 killer sli/ac mobo, ryzen 2200g cpu and radeon rx550 with 12g ram (don't ask). Nothing fancy but sure beats my old am2 system! New pc is so quiet :D

I have to ask about the 12gb ram. It's just inevitable.

And Yes! Definitely install Linux.

I built a similar system earlier this year. I think my favorite part is the complete lack of storage cables, because the storage is on nvme. And yeah. Super quiet.

@luci-fer mobo didn't show 8g of ram I bought in support list. Got 4g of supported ram to test. Turned out to be cpu. Now I got 12g.

I built mine in August but went to town and put far to much on credit, luckily some overtime presented itself and it has paid for itself

@shelladdicted i got free ram too, 1 stick out of 4 was faulty amazon couldn’t give me replacement so took 25 percent refund. Contacted Corsair who shipped me a new kit from the other side of the world and then I sent my old ram back to them. Was dreading being left with no ram but corsair understand

I have a hodge podge of 12G DDR3 in my system too lol. Caused by the fact that I have 6 DIMM slots, dont ask why, I dont know, it's a Lenovo OEM tower

Cool rig, have the same mobo but a R5 1600.
