Started a new job.

Loving the work itself, but the project is a bit vague, designer takes forever to design screens, adding more features and stuff.

I don't think these people realise how much fuckin work all of this is.

Deadlines are insane, borderline unrealistic.

Now I just use all of the AIs I can find to generate slop that is mostly usable.

I'm so tired.

Software development was already too high paced to deliver the right quality. This, because of the high level languages. But the expectations became very high. People forget that you're really building / constructing something. Now with AI, it becomes even higher. But the phase was already f-Ed up.

Yknow what the problem is? No one takes their job seriously. People deliver things right before deadlines, which doesn't work if there are other people and teams in the pipeline. It only takes one person to hold the entire project back by entire days or weeks. Work morale is awful lately

Props on getting a new job && congrats for getting one where you enjoy the work.

Sorry to hear that in order to meet the unrealistic deadlines you need to produce subpar code.

!sure what can be the reason behind the insane deadlines, apart from the design changes && designer dragging his feet.

For me, at my first job, it was the boss who would promise people unrealistic deadlines, which in turn would often result in us doing overtime.

Good luck, may the force be with you, AI is fine for devs.

Hmm yeah this is the reason I included the taskboard into co-pilot so I can go "get ticket about X and action" unless it's a bit ticket it will often be good enough (rename X, add button Y, fix bug Z)

It sounds like there is an int overflow!

It also sounds like my previous job. Vague specs, figure it out yourself,

    missyncs, careless people. AI slop.

    Yes, all relatable and understandable.
