I use the same adaptor for an old ps2 joystick, I never had any issue with race games even when it wasn't recognized and had to map it to keyboard, so I guess the problem lays elsewhere 😬

donuts236726y@michezio I have a problem staying on the road and turning at hi speeds, always gotta brake but then too slow after the turn

@billgates do you have/use analog sticks? You should be able to control your car better. If you have them and they work properly in game then it's just a matter of practice. I'd suggest you to start with a less realistic game if it's your first time with racing games or simply adjust the settings for an easier and more arcade experience if the games allows that. Simulation racing games are just like driving a real car, you need a lot of practice, especially for rallies

donuts236726y@michezio last game I played was GT4 for PS2. I'm starting to think I play games for the dopamine and to relax, not for a challenge. If I want challenge, I just code something. Perfect why I cheat...

Parzi86636y@billgates is yours the blue one? I got a blue one like that. I have a PS2 steering wheel that works well with it, except that the extended controller bus isn't supported, so the petals are buttons instead of triggers, but other than that it's nice...

Parzi86636y@billgates yeah, the connector. Mine's a blue translucent triangle thing with a dome on top.
Old PS2 controller + Windows 10 = Twin USB Controller, sensitivity working
Controller + DiRT 4/Project Cars 2 = still end up last against Easy AIs
Maybe I just suck at driving and playing real time games...
Well at least I don't spend $50 buying a controller...
