My god, I had two bottles of gluhwein. I've recently learnt that gluhwein is cheaper than a bottle of coca cola while containing alcohol is because the spices hide the fact that it's made from bad and cheap garbage wine. So, the only wine I drink/like is literary the worst :p Good to know.

Hmm... terrible thing to learn. Kinda reminds me of hot-dogs.

No clue how true that is that 'it is allowed to be there', so naturally take w/ a grain of salt.

There have been some other things like some of the ingredients apparently causing some health issues long-term or something.

Still, I do enjoy hotdogs every now && then.

Things to remember though are:

- Even if true, those are / were US regulations at the time, things could've changed.

- Could vary between brands, so better brands should equal better quality.

Either way, pretty sure nothing is healthy when eaten in too great amounts so as long as you don't overindulge you shouldn't be concerned. I am ! .

If you go to a real brauerei (spelling, I know, don't have German keyboard and ICBA), it's real bread, real sausage, real condiments, and I refuse to believe it's bad for you.

Now for real, everything in excess is bad, but I just don't buy the narrative that just because once in a while you want to pork pork food you are doomed.

Just don't overdo it, and fucking enjoy it, ffs.

Makes me remember all these "vegans" crying in joy when they are fooled into eating meat...

@whimsical that's always what's used for gluhwein ;P literally when you make it you buy the cheapest wine as a base. Though now you can get powdered wine ;P

@BordedDev as someone who hates the taste of wine (any kind of drink with alcohol, really), I approve that the cheapest wine is usually the least disgusting.

@Lensflare They actually did that with a group of "professional" wine tasters, they couldn't tell cheap from expensive. For me, most wines are just sour grapes ;P

@BordedDev that's interesting, because, wodka really doesn't have a difference and there was a wodka taster that could keep ten different brands apart and sort them on price. Freaking ten. I would never be able to do two :p interesting that a wine taster couldn't do that. I'm sure the wine taster sucked :p

I'm fully aware. I think I've covered that in one of those three comments of mine.

Also, I concur - _mostly_ that sounds like fearmongering because they kept approximating eating one hotdog a day.

As long as you observe proper moderation, then nah - eating hotdogs or whatever meat you like once in a while is OK.

For the vegan thing... yeah - that's !meat.

Going back to hotdogs - I tend to purchase a pack of around 30 every few months && eat them for a week straight.
