My internet connection here at home was 1 Mbps for the past 6 years. Whenever I download some big ass files, I'd think twice because it will take me a few days to finish. I just had it upgraded to 15 Mbps yesterday and it really feels good to not be intimidated by the file size in 'GB'. Oh the joy! 🤗

just wondering, what country are you from and how much do you pay every month for the internet?

EDIT: no hate comment pls, I've been down the road of slow internet connections before, just curious atm

@joaonunes Philippines. I was paying around $30 for that 1 Mbps deal (per month) and that 15 Mbps package was for $35 (per month) with a free Chromecast. lol

@nateye nice deal :) The internet looks expensive in your country though... I wonder how much would 100mb/s cost in there
When I first got internet at my house (Portugal) I had 6mb/s, later upgrading to 30mb/s, and such differences on speed are really easy to feel in the daily download/web surfing

Yeah. I know it's a bit expensive compared to some neighboring countries but I have no choice for now. Last time I checked for 100 Mbps, I think it was around $50+ but not totally sure.

How much is your current deal if you don't mind me asking? 😀

@nateye you may ask whatever you want ;)
I am paying for a package that includes tv, telephone and internet, paying about 45€/month for 100/10 mb/s download/upload. Fiber optics connection to my house

I actually feel your frustration. When I was in college, I was also experiencing the same thing as yours. Talk about having 'Internet bills' listed in your statement of account and not enjoying a good load to even research in Google. 😢
