It's been barely a day since I got windows back and I'm furious about all these malware. Should have stuck with fedora

    Open Microsoft store
    Disable updates and suggestions

I got my Win7 installation running since 2010 without even a reinstall, let alone malware.

Maybe it's because I don't click on jessica_supermodel_naked.jpg.exe or unrequested_fake_invoice.pdf.exe and don't use cracked software of keygens.

@Fast-Nop Windows 10 self installs candy crush and other apps on fresh install. It’s a pain, but easy to disable once you know where they hide the settings.

@irene but blaming Microsoft is cool. Nobody will consider you techie unless you write something against Microsoft

@irene Windows way of making money I guess. They call it “suggestions” but keep installing apps without consent from the ms store, even if using a local account.

Ms store needs an online account so either way they win this one.

@C0D4 You get suggestions, if you don't deactivate it, but I never got apps installed automatically! (Besides the few apps after a fresh install)

Furthermore you only need a windows account, if you want to buy apps in the store. All free apps are downloadable without an account.
