I used to think that working late was a sign of commitment. Now I've figured out that the opposite is true. Going home early, on time, is a sign of having things under control. Also I'm not paid hourly, so I have no obligation to stay for overtime. The only exception being a manager ordering overtime, for which I should be compensated.

If you yourself don't value your time, no one else will either.
