Go to output tab, use the dropdown to check how many plugins have error.
VS code just an editor, it’s often the unsupported extensions slow you down -
theuser48026y@sunfishcc I gave it a shot, but no errors. I have around 15 plugins. I like VS Code, but on a day to day basis there is a slight (and I mean a slight) delay between keypresses and it fucks up my typing. (we have an ERP-system to build and IIS running in the background, it taps resources)

@theuser another trick is to have a local vscode config file and only enable minimal extensions.
I’m still using a celeron 1.5GHz CPU on Ubuntu. With multiple node.js instance for testing.
Nothing like working on a (really) big project in VS Code and the editor lags so much that I have to fallback to Notepad++.
Native does have its perks.
