Oh how very relatable!

Sometimes we have to do this is in high school, too, but my teacher always says that if there is any syntax error, he won't care, because the developer environment / editor would warn you anyway.
I don't think it's that bad, because running your program in every second just to test it makes your work significantly slower, a good programmer should be able to run his program in his/her head.
