@SukMikeHok who said that there is no normal ide, xcode is good if you have patience and if you are good at programming then you don't need special ides, you can use sdks, command line tools with some basic ide

@appsdevpk there is a difference between needing and wanting something. Could I grow my own food? Yes, but I would rather just buy it and use the saved time elsewhere. Same goes for the features in an IDE. You might not need them, but they can save time.

Just a short question here...
Why does everyone dislike XCode that much? I'm currently doing some iOS development and besides some (partial) crashing I like the IDE. Also tried AppCode but autocomplete just feels off there

I have literally never had an issue with downloading or installing XCode or any of its tools. 🤔
