I'm fucking not able to connect my virtualbox's host only adapter to the fucking internet since 3 days now

Fuuuuuccckkk

Selecting a particular network to be shared will make me require to change settings every time I connect to different WiFi/LAN (Even though I couldn't even get that working)

Maybe even someone here can help me

    Maybe your it network security guys only allow one ip per network adapter?
    Maybe switching from Bridged Mode to NAT will help?

    @heyheni but I don't want it
    I want vboxnet0 on all my 6 peers

    Also multiple IPs are allowed

    @gitlog Can't you assign NAT and vboxnet0 to all VMs? So each VM will have Internet and connectivity to the host and other VMs.

    @sbiewald idk but for some reason, only one network adapter shows up in the VM

    Also, nat network also doesn't connect to internet

    @gitlog That is really strange.

    NAT (not NAT network, but that usually should work, too) does connect to the internet but does not allow connections between VMs. Otherwise something is really defective.

    I tested my NAT + vboxnet0 (two NICs for every VM) combination on Windows, Mac, Ubuntu and FreeBSD as hosts and Linux, Windows and some BSDs as guest systems.

    @sbiewald none of both ways (host only + nat ) or nat network is working with me as of now
    Maybe I'll try reinstalling virtualbox once

    @gitlog Maybe that works. Good luck!

    @sbiewald hey could you help me out on this:
    Windows guest works fine with multiple connection Linux (specifically Ubuntu) doesn't

    The problem isn't with virtualbox

    @gitlog

    Depending on the Ubuntu version (assuming Ubuntu server):

    - Old: Network interfaces are configured in `/etc/network/interfaces`. See `man interfaces` for details.

    - Recent Ubuntu: Use `netplan` and its configuration files to configure the interfaces.
