Start ups don't look appealing at all.

Really don't see the hype with working for them

@Stuxnet probably the work environment is not that corporate and theres no company culture to follow. I think also start ups hire fresh graduates more than big companies contribute to the appeal

@M1sf3t That's not how I'm trying to come about growing it man

@Stuxnet there's nothing better if you're looking to make a big impact, learn a ton, and think at higher levels, all in short amounts of time. And you get to build solid relationships with everyone at the company.

I for one really enjoyed working at a small startup. But I didn't regret leaving, because in the end it all depends what one is looking for.

Working for a startup has been both the best and worst experience of my life. Shitty pay for years with a mixture of coworkers that will be lifelong friends and coworkers that I wouldn’t be sad to never see again. I did learn a ton though and it got me into programming after college when I definitely wasn’t qualified to write code. Tons of stress about bad business processes and practices and asshole people. But overall I think it was an experience that helped me grow as a person, helped me to launch a career in software development and allowed me to make some lifelong friends. But if you have the experience to not work at a startup I’d recommend you steer clear unless you’re a masochist in which case you’ll be right at home.

I work at a startup right now (as consult), I like the freedom and power compared to non startups. With freedom I mean I dont have to plan every single day. If I find out trains dont go in the morning I can work from home. With power I mean that my input is valued and indeed used 90% of the time. You dont feel useless.

And if you are working 8 years at a "startup" you would indeed look older.

@Codex404 I believe America has started for more than 8 years 🤔(just kidding, at least the wall is still in beta)

@M1sf3t you register your party based on your family, right?

@sunfishcc indeed, but Obama only worked in the US for 8 years, then his working visa was expired right? 😈
