When I was in college I built websites for my friends but they never gave me any content. Now, 15 years later I build websites and applications for my clients, and they never give me content. I should have seen the signs.

    Weird right? So often I've written copy myself to plug the holes.

    True. On a 10 pages website project, it takes me 3 weeks to make everything work and 3 months to obtain all the content... And the client complained because we were late...

    @tomabolt I suggest. Breaking the contract up into pieces, getting paid for your work so far, and closing the project down on your end until they are ready, and you can schedule them back in.

    @sheriffderek yes that's probably the right thing to do, but I was just dev in a small web agency which started 2 years back. So they tried to make them a reputation and have some references to go on bigger projects ($$$).
