I've noticed something funny about linux-users.
There always seem to be 2 big groups.
1. Are contempt with using stock Ubuntu/Debian/Fedora and usually don't know much about, how their OS works on the inside.
2. Work their way through every part of their system and complain, that arch or gentoo arent customisable enough

    I'd say there is also a third that understand what is happening but just stick with their distributions stock experience... I sit in this camp

    EDIT: Oh and don't forget the 'I use arch' crowd (Hangs head in shame)

    I'm in group one for sure, I only use Linux (specially Debian based) because it doesn't eat resources and I'm just used to depian based distros lol

    Not willing to change since my productivity doesn't suffer from my current distro

    @Parzi I don't think so, is here really here? .-. (sarcasm)

    @lxmcf that "I use Arch" one is a really old joke though. most people who say it do so sarcastically.

    @lxmcf

    I use Manjaro. xd

    But I love to customize without using Arch :O

    @Brosyl,
    Didn't expect to see another Void-User here.

    @lxmcf This. I've been using it for about 9 years now (Linux/distro's) and I do have the skills the customize distro's to death but I just want to install a system, install the apps I want, dark theme and that's it :)

    @lxmcf I know a lot of the inner workings and do change some things, but it's sometimes just not worth the hassle, especially with servers.

    @lxmcf I'd consider myself a camp3 guy as well. ATM m laptop runs ubuntu though, as it for the most parts "just works" (although there's some i3 and shit thrown at it ;)).

    I think these are the two extremes with many people having a leg in both camps.

    I am a Gentooer since late 2003. Before that I used Slackware and SuSE.
    Although I never got the hang for a binary distro ever again, I used quite a few over the yesrs, including Arch, Void and Sabayon.
    ... Always went back to Gentoo... Once you have learnt to enjoy its perks, you'll miss them quickly after switching.

    However, I am the customizer-ricer-guy with my laptop. But on my desktop at work, everything is setup to just work. No more customization than optimizing for my hardware.
