I think the same thing haha, but my friend replied dark backgrounds are actually harder on your eyes. Going to stick with my dark background because I don't believe it

never gave white backgrounds a second chance once I tried the black backgrounds. plus, usually black backgrounds also have different colours for function/vars/text which makes it easier to understand than the default background

Especially in VS, the "white" literally fries your eyes and that too when you are awake for more than 12 hours doing nothing but code, black saves the day.
Plus, if you fall sleep while coding, you code in your black dreams. *laughs* 😂😂
I really don't get people that use their IDEs with white backgrounds. How do they manage to keep their eyes from frying?!
