I actually don't understand why most people like saying bad things about electron-js been a memory hog. I am not denying the fact that it sucks up system resources. Placing all the blame on electron-js is irrational because most apps built untop of electron-js does not hug memory (vscode is a living testimony to that). When you use bloated frameworks and/or libraries you are bound to have memory issues. When you don't understand how to manage memory effectively (in higher level language - you still have to do something for your value to be garbage collected) you are bound to be held captive in the chains of memory consumption.
Don't hate electron

I really like VSCode and use it all the time, but I'll still admit that it runs pretty heavy for what it does. Not as heavy on memory as Atom is, but still far worse than a native application like Sublime. And when you're running multiple Electron apps simultaneously, it starts to add up fast.

@irene you are right it consumes a lot of ram much more then it need to but comparing VS code to sublime is like comparing a normal car to a supercar with a lot of customizations

@irene yeah it has but it's not as near as flexible and complex as VS code.
You can do so many thing in VS code which sublime text is not even capable of

@irene Just go check it out yourself there a a lot of things VS code is becoming more of a ide and sublime is still more of a text editor

@irene yeah right now it's not but you can't argue that VS code does some. Things like debugging that sublime. Is capable of it ouf the box
