It depends on the company policies. I don't even have admin rights on my work computer and I can only install software from the company app portal. Usually things like that are decisions from higher ups.

@Qaldim Yeah I don’t have admin rights either and I understand that. I can still install apps in the user context. I haven’t seen a Slack environment where devs in the workspace couldn’t create channels. It’s weird.. 🙄

I've used MS Teams as a collaborative tool within the context of MS Office and it wasn't bad. Outside of it, I can't say much...
My company chose to go with MS Teams over Slack. And now we’re not even allowed to create our own channels. We have to ask our manager to do it for us. Tf? That’s some basic shit.
