Why are you expected to have people management skills as your experience grows? I don't want to deal with people, I just want to deal with my code 😢😫

    travel the world. only you and your laptop. Solitude coding and once a week a client skype call from the other side of the globe. Become a digital nomad.

    @heyheni Is that you, Stallman?

    On a serious note that sounds fun, but I probably romanticize it.

    Because sometimes you need to sell your awesome ideas to others. Convincing them gets buy-in and that's how you get to code the cool stuff.

    Being able to sell you/your teams work, it's merits and how it helps the business goes a long way for a development team.

    It's not all about code. I really wish it was, but it's not.

    @Vip3rDev wise words!

    If you want to learn how to sell with words I reccomend the book "Copywriters Handbook" by Robert Bly. https://amazon.com/Copywriters-Hand...

    Well then expect to be managed by other people and not the other way around
    Unless you are the only person working on the project
