Am I the only one that thinks that websites like dev.to are a huge pile of useless buzzwords and still less useful articles? I speak as a less-than-junior developer...

Just scrolled for five minutes dev.to and I didn't find anything useful nor interesting...

To be fair with you - not every website is suited for juniors. Heck, even mid-level can hardly find information in some cases.

There is always a specific need for an article or a code tutorial for someone. If you haven't found anything there - that means that you have no need for it. As an example, we've hosted quite a lot of meetups and speakers were unsure to who to target their topics. If you target at juniors - seniors will get boring and vice-versa.

So morale in this is simply - filter out what is needed or read articles about things that you would use in the future. I've done that for years and haven't had any issues.

ps. We've had a local group for meetups that was talking mostly about senior stuff that is specific to X case. It wasn't pleasing for everyone but even people who didn't care about the topic - learned something that day.
