I can kind of relate to this, one day I'm excited and happy, the next I feel like I can't code shit and feel down
-
I have an other pattern.
Day 1: Depressing.
Day 2: Depressing.
Repeat..
Yes, very sad I know. but still not a confusing pattern like yours -
I've been "troubleshooting" my own depression and anxiety for years. Haven't quite figured it out yet, but here is my ongoing theory:
Your brain is constantly trying to maintain an equilibrium of neurotransmitters. If, for whatever reason, you get an excess or shortage of one, say, serotonin, you brain say signals to scale back or increase production, respectively. Those of us battling depression (or related ailments) must have something going amiss with this process. Maybe the brain overreacts when trying to balance out. Or is too slow to react. Or is struggling to find resources to produce necessary neurotransmitters, causing a lag.
Just my theory. I'm no doctor. But, I haven't found much help from doctors, to be honest. The improvements I've made in the years battling this have come from my own research. -

Day 1: depressing
Day 2: blissful
OR
Day 1: blissful
Day 2: depressing
I noticed this pattern to repeat EVERY TIME IN MY LIFE.
When something is extremely good one day, I actually try to reduce the happiness because the depression will kick in the next day twice as much.... So even when i get hit by happy days, i am forcefully trying to become depressed in order to avoid being depressed twice as much tomorrow, CAn you Fucking believe me this ? Hhh
Hhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
i
i dont have energy to live
