Our Bus Factor is 0.1:
if a Bus, somebody, or something breaks or slightly touch one of my balls, the whole company is screwed.

    "To scrap: to remove from service or reduce to waste."
    Your work environment seems the harshest I've ever seen.

    @Pickman I wanted to say something lighter than break, like touch and do little damage, I wasn't sure that the usage of "to scrap" was the right one, as it's not my first language, so I changed it myself...but that was the idea.
    And yes it's an harsh environment

    @JustThat I mean it, really, if somebody breaks my balls, my head can't work anymore...sorry...

    I gave my last boss a lesson in bus factor.

    I was just so tired of him yelling at me in front of everyone, never listening, and accusing me of everything. So I, the sole developer, left.

    That was in December. He still hasn't found anyone to replace me.

    I'm sure he thinks that it's enough to keep the pc on to make your program run forever

    @Root I was wondering how that panned out for him. Kinda satisfying :-)

    @AlmondSauce Last I heard from the horse's mouth (in February), the company ran out of money. Heard yesterday from an ex-coworker that payroll has been getting later and later, and that the customer service person hasn't been paid in six weeks.

    So glad I left when I did.
    Though this means I'm not very likely to get my $5k in backpay...

    @Root Damn, that sucks. That being said, sounds like it could have been a lot worse than 5k if you stayed.

    @AlmondSauce Absolutely.

    @Root Jeez, that's very satisfying, to actually destroy the asshole company by leaving. I'm dreaming about that
