Really want to switch away from bootstrap any recommendation for a light weight grid or flex framework

Why not just pull out the grid framework from bootstrap and use it on its own?

You could make your own by aggregating multiple library. You need a reset or a normalize one (useful for multiple browser), a grid (if you want a geometric layout); Maybe a basic UI library to style form and such (just the basic, you can brand them later) and you’re done.
That’s really the core of what I need from a UI library.
