I've decided to set up an old laptop for my granddaughter. Top two contenders for OS are Doudou and Qimo. I thought about Edubuntu, but that one isn't really kid friendly, and it's designed by "educationists" sic.

@Root 9YO growing up in a very non-STEM home. We do what we can, but she's only over here on weekends. Need to start her out on something very basic specifically geared towards kids, and then ease her into the more complex stuff. I want her to see this as something that is fun and educational, and with a career in, if that is what she wants to do, and her Olympic gymnast dreams don't come to fruition. 😊
