Do you guys waste a lot of time at work on purpose or is it to precious? Like strict deadlines, boss coming to check if you are working?

It depends.

There are times when wasting 5 minutes to go for cig is too much, there are times when I write my own code, do nothing or otherwise waste time. Just boss or superior can't see me doing it and its fine.

And it depends on current workload.

Maybe I need a mental break from what I'm doing, maybe I have a deadline that is creeping up and don't have time for such luxuries, walking out for 20 min for a coffee and some air is usually fine though 🤷‍♂️

I changed to standing desk at home since over 2 weeks now ( working from home ).
It was right decision cause when I am in front of computer I only work now.

(I use devrant or other social networks on phone).

Trying to stand and walk more then sit, was so exhausted after a week of doing it but now it’s fine.

Working on purpose for 2 reasons:

1. I have to deal with legacy code most of the time so everyday felt like I’m dying since it’s a cluster fuck of shit so it’s better to do it fast and rest later

2. I wanna GTFO ASAP from here

Boss not checking, I could watch YT (P?) all day, he don't give a shit.

What he want: project finished for the deadline.
