Isn't US literally using AI/Technology as a war weapon by making Google blacklist Huawei? I mean, I'm afraid. What will we do tomorrow if my county gets blacklisted (not so far by the looks of it)? Can we even trust Google anymore?

P. S. India..

@devTea I really hope so. We've happily trusted them with so much of our data. Who knows if they will give it off to the government if they make some *laws* for it suddenly..

Yes and no. And no, you can trust us as much as we can trust Indian call centers: nada, zip 0

I think that the latest US move is a good one because it will finally kick some asses to get shit done and get rid of the unhealthy dependency on the US.

ARM is also chiming in with the US, which should be a huge booster for RISC-V.

At the same time, the immediate damage is not that big.

@AleCx04 that's sad to hear cause the whole Open Source theory is made out of trust and mutual respect.
Also, I've heard a few of those call centre recordings, was on my yt yesterday, someone busted them by a MITM attack (lol). I feel sad for those who actually fall those calls. That guy literally said that he's calling from 'Windows' and that they are shutting down their 'Business' and was 'Hacking' the victim using Team Viewer...

The entire thing was no more than a tantrum.
But like others said, don't think the consequences are that big for now, and I'm eager to see what will happen.

I was not sure how you managed to mix AI into this but then I realized that the intelligence of their president is artificial.

@Fast-Nop ARM is owned by Japanese Softbank and it’s origins are from UK.
Softbank probably invested to much in US (ex in boston dynamics ) to argue with their political issues

@norman70688 even if this wasn't Huawei, they should definitely do something with that - afaik they have many different models with different firmware versions, even CLI is sometimes different...
