I guess you aren't storing the password in the script

Maybe you forgot to do both of the above.. neither using ssh key nor storing password in script

@gitlog it's a cron job on the target machine, so no SSH. I set user/pass in the global user file thing (it's my personal account i'm using because eh) but it looked sketch and worked about 50% of the time when I manually invoked the push, but that's not 100%, so...
