GAHHHHHHHHHH! Damn USPS!!! Privatize them already! Stolen is more like it. It was a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Mobo, an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X CPU, and 16GB of memory. The postal service is a bloated, unresponsive, government run trainwreck. If people would just stop using them, they would shrivel up and blow away. ARRGH!!! 🔥☠️🔥☠️🔥

    Wow, that's terrible.
On the bright side, once you get your money back you can go for a Ryzen 3000 series system.

I'm limited to the $400 this cost. I'll have them resend. Heck, their warehouse is only ten miles from here. They can just run it over here in one of their grey trucks and bypass the postal service.

@iAmNaN just give it time man.

Amazon will have their own delivery service soon lol

@Stuxnet they already do. Little grey vans with the Amazon smile. You see them everywhere here. The facility is like a twenty minute drive from my house. I think those vans were a brilliant rebuttal to the Donald's complaining that Amazon didn't pay USPS enough. Privatize the USPS, trim the fat, fire the excess bureaucracy, and turn it into a lean, competitive company. We can actually get same day delivery from the Amazon warehouse here. I'm hoping that is what they will do tomorrow.

    Fucking UPS , right?
These motherfuckers have been sticking all my free and paid stickers deep in their asses those bloody assholes.
Poor dfox has tried sending me devrant stickers twice, i recieved them not even once. Fucking stickermule sent me a paid sticker pack twice and they still haven't send me once. I fucking paid for them.

Why do these lame ass guys have the right to call them delivery guys idk.

@TitanLannister To be fair, that might also be caused by whoever delivers in your country.

    @TitanLannister

OP was about the United States Postal Service, not the United Parcel Service.

Maybe the delivery guy was an Intel person.

Shipped with Amazon = USPS for you? If my shit gets shipped by Amazon here (Germany) they deliver using their 'own' Amazon branded delivery minions, not DHL etc. as usual
They are much faster most of the time too, so I don't mind

@Kimmax i made the mistake of requesting next day delivery. Normally Amazon would either deliver it themselves, or turn it over too UPS. But for this, they gave it to USPS. I'm working with Amazon to resolved this. My guess is that USPS is compensating Amazon for the lost shipment. Not sure what Amazon will offer me, although they are working on it, and I'm supposed to get a callback today from the same customer rep that I spoke with last night.

Just learned about Amazon Lockers. They are Lockers around the city where Amazon can deliver your order, and you can go retrieve it. They send you a barcode that you scan from your phone, and it opens the locker that contains your order. It's safe and secure, and won't get horked by someone passing by.

@Nanos I have not seen one, but my guess is no. My guess is that a washer would have to be drop shipped.

@bahua oh alright. but still, UPS suck whichever it is

@iAmNaN there's one at my local whole foods but I've never really needed to use it, since everything always fits in my PO box

Amazon refunded the money and I reordered. Having it delivered to an Amazon Locker, so no Postal Service involvement. I'll pick it up on the way home.

So, the saga continues. Got a message from Amazon that the package couldn't be delivered, because the driver couldn't enter the building. It's a freaking 24/7 7-11 gas station. There is no way you could not access the place. I even stopped there to find the Amazon Lockers. C'est la vie. Maybe tomorrow.

@Nanos this was at 4PM. I even stopped there for gas within 20 minutes of receiving the notification.

No. I think the driver didn't want to stop. They actually sent the driver back, and I can go get the items today. The drivers are Amazon employees, and they know the locker route without having to use GPS. The lockers are placed so as to optimize the drivers route, and they don't have to hopscotch all over the city. I think this driver had one job, and one job only. Maybe the driver thought there were too many people at the 7-11; it's a very busy place. Anyway, the driver went back and put the items in the locker.

@iAmNaN how the fuck was it marked as "lost then" dafuq

@kescherRant the original was lost by the post office. When I reordered, I chose to have it delivered to an Amazon Locker instead of my home, since Amazon delivers to those, and not the Post Office. Not sure why they handed it over to the post office in the first place; they have their own delivery service here.

😂😭😂😭 They lost it again! I have never had this kind of experience with Amazon before. So they are going to send it again with delivery tomorrow.

@Nanos yes. With an Amazon smile on it.

And the conclusion of the story. Mobo, CPU, and memory finally arrive. Swap everything out. Boot. BSOD. AMD Overdrive is decidedly NOT compatible with a Ryzen CPU. Reboot into safe mode with networking so that I can uninstall AOD. Can't log in, because the onboard NIC is not recognized, so I can't authenticate, and the local account password is not in sync with the regular account. Tear everything down, rebuild old computer, log in, uninstall AOD and sync account passwords. Tear everything down again. Rebuild new rig. Log in. Universe is in balance. In the meantime, the second order that Amazon misplaced showed up, so sending that back. I figure somene at USPS will eventually discover the lost original order, and it'll be delivered in a month or two. Don't care, I have my new system, and running FO4 at Ultra on 4K is really sweet. 😁
