If you really aim at such low programming skills, you will end up saying "ok, this takes 25 minutes to process 6 points, but this doesn't need to scale more than that".

(Real story, been through that. Lesson learned: never hire a "research scientist" or whatever the title is if they cannot understand the basic problems in the software industry.)
